Structure

The lodge Città di Amandola is located 1,200 meters above sea level at the base of Mount Amandola in the district called Campolungo. It is surrounded by unspoilt nature and has breathtaking views stretching from Mount Conero in northeast Marche to the Gran Sasso mountain in the region of Abruzzo.

This lodge, Città di Amandola, is a great starting point for scenic excursions: Castel Manardo (Mount Amandola), the springs of the Ambro River and the Tre Vescovi Peak, to mention just a few. It is also ideally located for short hikes into the Caprina Valley and to Balzo Rosso, where it is possible to see a great variety of wild orchids, aromatic herbs and a multitude of other wild flowers. Birdwatchers have the opportunity to spot eagles, falcons, crows, hawks, vultures and woodpeckers.

Easily reachable from the “Grande Anello dei Sibillini” (the Sibillini mountain-hiking circuit), the lodge “Citta di Amandola” awaits to accommodate you in its family-run locale, which offers excellent homemade meals. Our goal is to provide you with an unforgetable vacation here in the Parco Nazionale dei Monti Sibillini (the Sibillini Mountain National Park).
The Refuge has a restaurant that seats up to 70, but in the summer there are additional tables outside where you can lunch in the open air.

Bedrooms

There are two bedrooms which each sleep four. Each bedroom has it’s own bathroom, one of which has a shower and is next to the bedroom, the other is on the floor below.

Gastronomy

The simple ambience and warmth of the restaurant is reflected in the typical dishes we offer our clients. In front of the cosy fireplace, you can taste our mushroom polenta, sausage, tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms, marinated wild boar, grilled lamb etc, all accompanied by local wine. Not to miss are the famous “fregnacce”, typical Amandolese dishes which are particularly loved by our clients.
